GOVT ITI, VENGOOR

Vengoor a technical and educationally backward village having peaceful atmosphere close to the famous tourist places Kodanadu elephant kalari, Iringole Kavu, Kallil Temple the oldest Jaina centre and Paniyely Poru water falls and also near to the famous pillgrim centres of Kalady and Malayattoor. In this village the Industrial Training Institute, Vengoor was established at Nedugapra near by the Kuruppampady - Koottikkal road in 2010 with an aim to assure a regular output of skilled craftsman for the industry and that by the developement of industries for Nation. This institution was started by the dedicated forward thinking personalities of the Vengoor local body. This technical institute involves in imparting a trainee centered, value based, skill development oriented training so as to enable the trainees to face the challenges of the fast changeing global scenario in the years ahead. It has been setup under the Craftsman training scheme under State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT) through the Industrial training department of Kerala and awaiting for the affiliation with National Concil for Vocational Training (NCVT) through the Directorate General of Employment and Training (DGE &T), Govt. of India.
